Root Canal

If the dental pulp within a tooth is injured or infected, the tooth dies because it is unable to receive the necessary nutrients. In this situation, the only way to save the tooth is a root canal. During a root canal, also known as endodontic treatment, the dentist drills into the tooth and extracts the problem-causing pulp. He then cleans the pulp chamber and caps the tooth with a protective, aesthetic crown. The procedure is performed under general anesthetic to ensure your comfort and ease. To learn more about root canals, contact our office today.

TMJ/TMD

The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the point where the jawbone and the skull meet. This complex joint that manipulates the jaw can be the source of problems such as clicking, locking, or popping of the jaw. Some who experience jaw problems will also report headaches, earaches, neck aches, and other facial pain associated with temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD). If you are suffering from TMD and would like treatment, our office has a number of conservative options for dealing with TMD.
